Terrence Littlefield is current founder and director of BASIC PREP ACADEMY an alternative school in Indianapolis that serves students who have not completed their high school program.


Terrence graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. He has been a champion of working in urban areas across the country. As a public educator, he has always been involved in urban community initiatives. His volunteer work at the Boys and Girls Club of America and Young Men’s Christian Association has always been close to his passion in mentoring youth.


Prior to becoming CEO of Basic PREP ACADEMY he served as a teacher and Director of a minority retention program at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis where he established critical components to make the program successful. Terrence’s imitative and primary focus with BASIC PREP ACADEMY is to eradicate the disproportionate numbers that are not graduating or going to college. He exclaims that this is affecting communities from advancing in society. Terrence is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha inc., National Educators Association, Indiana State Teachers Association, and the Black Coaches Association.


Northwest Accreditation Commission
